So I couldn't sleep last night so I was browsing Pinterest and found the cutest Tank Dress.

The tutorial was very descriptive and seemed pretty easy. So I decided I wanted to make one for me to wear for Alyssa's birthday. I was thinking about it and trying to think if I had any tanks I could use to make it. I had this yellow and white floral fabric I thought would be really cute with something...not for her birthday, but as a trial...and then realized I had a couple of Old Navy maternity tanks. Then I remembered I had a grey tank. So I decided to make the dress with my grey tank (way to repurpose my never going to wear agin maternity tank) and the yellow fabric bit turned about wonderfully!!!!! I love it. And it only took about an hour!!!! Can't wait to wear it tomorrow!!!!! Sorry the picture is so odd...my husband isnt the best photographer, hopefully i will get a better picture tomorrow when i wear it. I am definitely going to make one for the little princess' birthday!! Maybe black skirt with red tank (both of which I already have) and then make a sash out of the Hungry Caterpillar fabric I will make Alyssa's dress out of!! Oh boy!! I love Pinterest and can't wait to make our birthday dresses!!
In other news...my poor little princess hasn't been the happiest baby today. She woke up pretty fussy. She was starting to feel a little warm, so we went swimming, that cooled her down. After she had a snack I laid her down for her nap. She slept for 2.5 hours!!! I almost woke her up a couple times!! She usually naps for 30 mins- 1 hour. So I was quite surprised and worried!! When she did wake up she felt super warm. She had a 102.5 temp. Poor thing! I gave her Tylenol and her temp went down a little. She would bite her giraff you and cry, her mouth was hurting. So I gave her some frozen fruit and we went down to the Marina because out sauna, or I mean house, was super hot!! She cooled down so much. We had fun just hanging out on a blanket at the Marina in the shade. She loved watching the airplanes land and people walk by. Hopefully she had a better/cooler day tomorrow. We just her to bed tonight with only a shirt in, I will check her and maybe put on pants before we go to bed.
Way, way cute Katie!!! Why never going to wear again maternity tank? ;)
